Who can use the Scheme? 

For people who struggle to use or access public transport. membership benefits are outlined here  >>

All voluntary and community groups based in the Ashfield and surrounding districts who are concerned with the health and welfare of the community.

Current annual membership is: £8 per year for individuals (1st April to 31st March) and £20 per year for groups (1st April to 31st March).

How to Book

Contact the transport team who are responsible for membership registration, bookings and the daily running of the schemes.We are not a taxi scheme and bookings are required in advance, ideally at least 48hrs before your date of travel. We do not usually have vehicles available at short notice but will try our best to assist for emergency GP and hospital appointments.

To Book: Phone 01623 753192 giving:-

  • Your name or group name
  • A contact telephone number.
  • Date of travel
  • Pick-up and return times
  • Trip destination.
  • Any other info e.g. do you need wheelchair spaces?
payment cardsWe take major credit card payments and cheques. Payment can be made over the telephone or you are always welcome to pop-in and pay by cash or card to suit you. 

Just call us if you wish to check your payment method first.

minibus02Minibuses: Ideally suited for groups of up to 16 passengers for day trips or attending group meetings and luncheon clubs etc. These vehicles can also be used by members for family occasions and are fitted with rear passenger lifts and side steps. Ring & Ride

Ring & Ride: These are the Centre’s own vehicles and resemble small minibuses. They are ideal for passengers that require wheelchair transportation and are fitted with tail lifts for easy access. Ideally suited for individuals or small groups of 7 or less.

Timetabled Shopper Bus Services

 Sutton in Ashfield Shopper


The shopper bus is designed to serve the rural communities of Ashfield providing a pick up service for easy access to Sutton town centre.

Selston Parish Shoppers
The shopper bus is designed to serve the rural communities of Ashfield providing a pick up service for easy access to Kirkby and Sutton town centres.
The service runs:
Tuesday - Underwood (2 runs)
Friday - Jacksdale and Selston

Door to Door Shop at ASDA (Sutton-in-Ashfield) on Fridays     

Home pickups and arrive at ASDA for shopping at 11.00amasda2

Return pickup from ASDA at 1.15pm and back to your home for lunch

Volunteer Car Scheme

volunteer Volunteer Car Scheme: Volunteers using their own cars, these are not wheelchair accessible and there is limited availability. Ideal for 1 or 2 people.

Volunteer Drivers always needed in Ashfield & Mansfield, expenses paid, and training given please ring for more information call: 01623 753192
